"This was a tricky motorbike to photograph for a drawing, so many angles and tons of detail; it's a round-the-world bike so getting that story across was a challenge. But the intense summer sunlight hitting that patterned fairing was too good to pass up, any chance to draw dark shadows and bright sunlight! And the angle and crop we went for hints at the history of this bike. It's a little worn, and looking clean while it's between travels, packed with personality and stories. Many travels, many fortunes.”
HB and 2B pencil on heavyweight archival Atlantis Heritage Drawing paper and fixed to preserve and prevent smudging with Daler-Rowney Colourless fixative.
