“Photographed this Harley Davidson Sportster 48 outside a surf shop and cafe on the way to the beach on an overcast day. The bike was a bright purple color, with a brown leather seat and whitewall tires, so it was a real attention-grabber parked on the pavement. But what really stood out was the shine on the paintwork and the positioning of the mirror low on the bike. When you stood next to the bike the tank was reflected in that mirror, so that just made for a great look for the drawing.”

HB and 2B pencil on heavyweight archival Atlantis Heritage Drawing paper and fixed to preserve and prevent smudging with Daler-Rowney Colourless fixative.
